Club 21 is All About Matilda!

We started reading Matilda Tuesday, and we are so excited! We are going to New York City to see the Broadway musical, based on the novel, on March 18, 2015, so we're getting ready for the big day with a series of Matilda-themed activities.

We each have our own copy of the book that we can highlight, take notes in, etc. We're given time each day to read at our own pace. Mrs. Mackall also reads one chapter to us every afternoon, and we stop to define words, make predictions, etc. We also answer discussion questions collaboratively.

Before we started the book, we got new table assignments. We rotate assigned seats every 2 weeks to ensure that we get to know and work with everyone in Club 21. To figure out our new tables we were each given a puzzle piece with our name on it. We needed to put 4 different puzzles together as a team to figure out our new table assignments. This was a challenge, but we succeeded!
